Only after a long day in the saddle will you truly realize the inherent benefits of the mono tube design. This bike has the new Composite seat base. This is my second recumbent, my first was the sun EZ-1 which my wife rides now. I love this bike, easy to ride, relaxing can go for unlimited miles. Wish there were more accessorys. I did get a ram iPhone holder for Imapmyride. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a recumbent.

I ride this on weekends 50 – 100 miles. It is comfortable, quick and quiet. With many adjustable components it is easily taylored to fit anyone. I don’t like putting a metal triangle carrying device on the rear wheel so I would like to have a customized bag for the back seat attachment. Similar to handle bar size and weight. Highly recommend this bike for anyone with back problems that can’t ride long distances on a standard bike.

The new REVL road brakes from The Hive are light (115g / wheel) and use full carbon fiber arms for an almost fluid appearance.

They use a dual pivot mechanism to increase braking force, and hardware is a mix of titanium and 7075 aluminum.  Besides the good looks, they have a few cool features.  There’s a quick release lever on the cable adjustment barrel that opens up 4mm of space to ease wheel changes, and the brake pad holsters and bolts are 7075 alloy.  MSRP is $399.95 for the set.

There are some pretty insane riders out there. The bikers that participated in the Red Bull Rampage 2008 competition (Virgin, Utah) are near the top of the crazy-list in my book. The goal – to get down the mountain as fast as you can without falling!

The 2010 Specialized Transition Comp is one fast bike.  It is the second fastest bike in the MIT Wind Tunnel, has a state-of-the-art carbon fiber frame, and is made to cut through the wind.  Check out this video that features “ED” explaining the sweet Transition Comp specs.

It just so happens that THE PEDAL is a authorized Specialized Transition dealer.
